Goverment of Hong Kong to the Secret

Colonies.

(Received Colonial Office 8.40 am. 27th February, 1919).

With reference to your cipher telegram February

Ma 20th following recommendations made:-

1. For C. KG. Colonel E. G. (?) Wright 18th Infantry Commanding British Troops, North China in view of his energy and tact in dealing with military

situation during Pekin coup d'état in July 1917.

2. For C. B. E. Major Louis Cassel General Staff (?D. A. A. & QMG.) in recognition of his valuable services as D. A. AG, QUIL

and intelligence officer during the greater part of the war and as deputy chief censor for past two years. He has to my personal knowledge rendered highly meritorious

service,

3. For M. B. E. Garrison Sergeant Major Alfred

Edward Hurle, For record of his services see letter

number 7582 A of November 29th 1918 from General Officer

Commanding to War Office.
